- How can I purchase a game on Nintendo.com?
To purchase digital games directly from Nintendo.com and send them to your Nintendo system, you'll need a Nintendo Account. For Nintendo 3DS and Wii U systems, you'll also need to link your Nintendo Account with your Nintendo Network ID.

- What do I need to download a game?
You'll need a Nintendo Switch, Wii U, or Nintendo 3DS family system, a Nintendo Account (registered for use in the U.S. or Canada), Internet connection, and Nintendo eShop access to download the game once you've purchased it.

- Does my purchase qualify for My Nintendo Points?
Yes. As long as you have signed up for My Nintendo before you purchase the game, your game will qualify for My Nintendo Points. My Nintendo Points are automatically awarded to the Nintendo Account that was used to purchase the game. (Please note that DLC items, passes, and themes do not qualify for My Nintendo Points.)
To see your My Nintendo points balance:
- Visit http://my.nintendo.com
- Select 'Sign in.'
- Sign in to your Nintendo Account.
Once you're signed in, you can review your My Nintendo points balance and history, check out the latest My Nintendo rewards, and view active missions you can complete to earn My Nintendo points.

- What is the order cancellation policy for digital purchases?

- How do I redeem a download code?
Download codes are codes for specific digital games or content for Nintendo Switch™, Wii U™ or the Nintendo 3DS™ family of systems.
You can redeem your code here and send the content directly to your system.
You may also redeem your code via the Nintendo eShop on your system. For step-by-step instructions, select your system: Nintendo Switch, Wii U or Nintendo 3DS.
- Select 'Redeem' to enter the redemption code found on your Digital HD insert and enjoy your digital copy. Select 'Browse' to see other titles available on Digital HD from HBO.

Is a Nintendo Account required to order a download code?
A Nintendo Account is not required to place an order through Nintendo’s Online Store. It is recommended, however, so that you have easy access to your order history, including a record of your download codes.
A Nintendo Account is required to redeem a download code for Nintendo Switch.
What is the order cancellation policy?
We are unable to provide refunds or exchanges once we provide you with your download code. Please be sure that you meet all requirements for your game before you place your order. For additional information, please see the End User License Agreement (EULA).
Does my purchase qualify for My Nintendo Gold Points?
Yes. Gold Points will be automatically applied to the Nintendo Account that redeems the download code.

How do I redeem my download code?
To redeem your code, access the Nintendo eShop on your Nintendo Switch system, then select Enter Download Code. Enter your 16-digit-code to begin downloading your game.
You can also visit https://ec.nintendo.com/redeem/#/ to redeem the code to your Nintendo Account online.

Can I give a game to someone else?
Yes. Once you complete your purchase, you will receive a download code for the game. The download code can only be used once, but anyone can redeem it. If the game is a gift for someone else, provide them with the download code so that they can redeem the game on their system.
How can I find my download code?
When you place your order, you will receive two e-mails – an order confirmation e-mail and an e-mail that includes your download code(s). Check for the second e-mail to locate your download code(s).
If you can’t find the e-mail, locate your order in Nintendo’s Online Store and select Resend Digital Code from the order details. We’ll resend the e-mail with your download code.

If you are having trouble redeeming the download code, try the following:

- Make sure that you are redeeming the download code correctly on your Nintendo Switch system.
- Visit https://ec.nintendo.com/redeem/#/ and try redeeming the code online.
- Make sure that you are entering the correct download code. The download code is the 16-digit code that you received in your confirmation email.
- If you can’t find your download code, locate your order in Nintendo’s Online Store and select Resend Digital Code from the order details. We’ll resend the e-mail with your download code.
- Your download code can only be redeemed once. If you have already redeemed the code, you can re-download the game on the Nintendo eShop. (You do not have to buy the game again to re-download.)

No. Please use extreme caution when purchasing Nintendo digital games online. Software sold through unauthorized sellers may have been acquired fraudulently, which could result in your console being permanently banned and your account being banned or deleted.

Can I give my username and password to another person to purchase digital software?
No. It is your responsibility to keep Nintendo Account information, including your user name and password, confidential as required by the Nintendo Account User Agreement.
By creating your Nintendo Account, you are agreeing to the Nintendo Account User Agreement which states that you are responsible for all activity and purchases on or through your Nintendo Account and any accounts associated with your Nintendo Account.
If Nintendo identifies that you have violated the Nintendo Account User Agreement, such as by providing your username and password to others, your console may be permanently banned and your account may be banned or deleted.
